I found a little time to mess around with free software. I wanted to find a program to show a kind of animation for icons and banners. In this case I chose GIMP. It was free to download so I gave it a shot. It’s easy to install and it takes a few more seconds to start up. After opening, I chose the pixel dimensions and I was ready to roll. I actually had the images saved beforehand so all I needed was to insert each image. I edited all the images first to fit the dimensions. If not, when saving the file you can try and crop it.

It’s pretty fast to complete. Just insert all the images as layers. Save the file as .gif and animation. I made the time duration to 300 milliseconds. The result was this:

The auction day has finally come this Saturday, 16th of April. Viewing at 10:30am and the bidding should start around 11:00am. 2011 could be the last year I live in Clayton. I know I’m excited. So many stuff has happened lately. It’s like overload. I haven’t had much trouble sleeping. I haven’t felt this good in ages. I’m hoping my life will continue to follow a positive turn. This isn’t really why I wanted to post because I mentioned my house being auction numerous times already.

I feel this is an achievement because last time I tried I didn’t really have much content. Least now I have a decent amount to get accepted. Their site is a little slow though. So much content must be flooding them. I get the same feeling when I’m archiving my web files. Good luck to my Pelona project.
